These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of My Pet Journal (the "Service"), operated from Spain. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility & Account
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
2. Permitted Use
You may use the Service to:
- Track your pets, vaccines, treatments, visits, and receipts.
- Receive optional reminders.
- Invite household family members (Pro feature) to view shared records.
3. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about you and your pets.
- Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes third-party rights, or contains malware.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Use the Service in compliance with applicable laws.
4. Reminders Are a Convenience, Not a Guarantee
Reminder emails and notifications are provided as a convenience. We do not guarantee that reminders will be delivered on time or at all (for example, due to email provider issues or network failures). You remain solely responsible for confirming vaccination schedules, treatments, and appointments with your veterinarian.
5. Veterinary Care
The Service is an organizational tool. It does not provide veterinary advice, diagnose conditions, or replace professional veterinary care. Always consult a licensed veterinarian regarding your pet's health.
6. Subscriptions & Billing
- Pro subscriptions are offered monthly (€3.99/month) or annually (€29.99/year), billed in advance.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime via the billing portal; cancellation prevents future renewals.
- Prices, features, and plans may change with prior notice; existing billing periods are honoured.
- Payments are processed by Stripe.
7. Free vs. Pro
Some features (e.g., adding more than one pet, uploading receipts, reminder emails, family sharing) require a Pro subscription. We may adjust the feature split over time. Pro members continue to receive future Pro features automatically.
8. Account Termination
You may close your account at any time by emailing support@mypetjournal.life. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or fail to pay applicable fees. Upon termination, your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual Property
We retain all rights in the Service. You retain all rights in the content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us the limited right to host and process it to provide the Service to you and your invited household.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Pet Journal will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including statutory consumer rights.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence continue to apply.
13. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
